Let's do the Time Warp again!!!
Am 05. März war ich nach langer Corona-Kulturabstinenz endlich mal wieder auf einem Event, und zwar bei Rocky Horror!! Boah, war das cool! Da musste ich doch gleich die Kategorie Musik damit gestalten, daher hier mein Rocky Horror Figbarf.
On the 5th of March I have been to a show! Finally after all that abstinence from culture due to Corona! It was Rocky Horror, and oh boy, this was a great one!! I gathered so much inspiration that I just had to put it in the first round of RO, so here is my Rocky Horror Figbarf.
Ein Figbarf ist vielleicht nicht ideal als RogueOlympics-Beitrag, aber da der Contest noch nicht so lange etabliert ist, warum nicht? (Don't dream it, be it!!)

Rocky Horror ist ein absoluter Musical-Klassiker und eines meiner ewigen Favoriten. Die Musik ist saftiger, dreckiger Rock'n'Roll in klassischer Bandbesetzung (E-Gitarre, E-Bass, Schlagzeug, Synthies, zusätzlich Saxophon).
Rocky Horror is an iconic Musical classic and one of my alltime favorites. The music is juicy, dirty Rock'n'Roll with classic band assets (electric guitar and bass, drums, synthies and additional saxophone).
Mein Fokus hier sind natürlich die Darsteller/Gesangsrollen (if you want something visual that's not too abysmal)
The main aspect of my build are of course the singers in their respective roles (if you want something visual that's not too abysmal)
Riff Raff the servant, Janet Weiss, Brad Majors and Dr. Frank N. Furter (I'm just a sweet Transvestite from Transexual Transylvania!!)

Rocky Horror kurz gesagt:
Brad und Janet, zwei bodenständige, spießige, amerikanische Teenager sind verlobt (Damn it, Janet, I love you!) Und geraten im Wald in einen Sturm, das Auto versagt und sie schlagen sich nach Hilfe suchend bis zu einem gruseligen Haus durch, (There's a light over at that Frankenstein place) wo sie von Riff Raff, dem Diener des Haus"herren" zögerlich hereingebeten werden. Jener Hausherr aber ist Dr. Frank N. Furter, ein Transvestit aus Transylvania vom Planeten Transexual, der gruselig-frivole Experimente am menschlichen Körper durchführt, und unter anderem Rocky erschafft, einen persönlichen Erotik-Sklaven (In just 7 days I can make you a man!). Unsere Helden Brad und Janet finden sich also in einem surreal-feucht-fröhlichen Porno-Alptraum wieder, erleben viel Fragwürdiges aber auch Anregendes und kommen nicht umhin, ihre sexuelle Identität in Frage zu stellen...

Rocky Horror in a nutshell:
Brad and Janet are two loveable, suburban, American teenagers who are engaged (Brad, I'm mad for you too!) but when driving through the forrest, a storm hits and the car breaks down, so they try to find shelter at a sketchy old mansion (There's a light burning in the fireplace) where Riff Raff, the "masters" servant leads them inside. The master of the mansion however is the notorious Dr. Frank N. Furter, a spleeny transvestite from transexual planet Transylvania, who does spooky-sensual experiments to the human body and who creates (among other things) Rocky, a personal human erotic doll (In just 7 days I can make you a man!). So our heros find themselves inside a frivol, nefarious and wicked porn nightmare and live through so much dubious excitement that they can't leave again without fully questioning their own sexuality...
Ok, kürzer kann ich Rocky Horror kaum zusammenfassen, aber es ist sooo viel mehr. Ich liebe die Musik, die Kostüme und die schrille, völlig bescheuerte Geschichte, aber auch die Begleitumstände in der Entstehungszeit sind total interessant, ist es doch ein Meilenstein der LGBTQ-Bewegung. Auch vom Kultfaktor her könnte ich jetzt einen ganzen Vortrag halten, (Boring!!) nur ein lustiges Detail: Bei der Uraufführung ist die Rocky Horror Show gefloppt und hat ihren Status als weltweites Phänomen erst durch den ikonischen Kinofilm erhalten. Daher kommt auch die Mitmachkultur des Publikums, welche auch in Berlin gut vertreten war und wahnsinnig viel Spaß gemacht hat. Aber was laber ich (boring!), das müsst ihr mal erlebt haben 
Ok, it's hard to sum it up even further and it is so so much more than that. I love the music, the costumes, the strident yet completely absurd story, but also the historical events around its first premiere are strikingly interesting and it's a milestone for the LGBTQ movement. On the matter of fandom i could do a whole lecture (Boring!) so here is one tiny funny detail: When it first premiered as a musical show, Rocky Horror was far from success and only gained its status as a worldwide phenomenom after the very successful movie adaptation, where all the audience participation culture originated. In Berlin, the audience was heavily into it and it was so much fun! But look, he's not stopping to talk (boring!!)... Ok, I only have left to say that you should go and see Rocky Horror live!!

Ich muss ja zugeben, dass ich persönlich den Hype nie so sehr geteilt habe, aber kennen tue ich es natürlich und es ist auf jeden Fall ein durchgeknallter Klassiker voller schriller Figuren, die du hier echt gut getroffen hast.
