This contest has been such a blast! I decided to end it with a little bit of Harry Potter fun. Today I present to you a dangling Ron, who was just pranked by someone (probably Harry). Good thing he's wearing trousers!
I had originally planned to build both Ron and Harry, but 101 pieces disappeared very fast. Still, I love this concept, so I'm planning to develop it into a much larger MOC in the near future. Also as a fun behind-the-scenes, I had originally planned to make Ron float via a tensegrity design, but scrapped that due to its ugly appearance. Maybe someday.
(NOT OFFICIAL ENTRY)
And finally, I used all 101 parts in this model. It was certainly difficult to fit the entire thing within 101 pieces.
And that's all from me! Thanks to everyone for making this such a fantastic contest! I'll miss the weekly challenges, but I don't think I'll miss the 101 piece limit too much (or having to disassemble my creations immediately).
See you next year!

Hey Doug, let me console you about your couch. Why don't you come play some vintage video games with me and we'll see who has the better reaction Time?

Hi all! Welcome to my entry for the seventh and penultimate round of Rogue Olympics! This has been one of my favorite entries to build so far, and it came together super quickly. Here I present the ultimate and OG in reaction games: Pong!
For this creation, I used 100 parts.
Thank you for viewing and commenting, as always. It means a ton to me! See you all in the final round!

That's a very clever idea and an intriguing design. Thank you for the "under the scenes" picture as well!

When the human effect on nature takes a turn for the worse... The Tragedy of Human Nature
-
For Round 6, I wanted to represent the impact humans have on nature with this MOC. Nature is beautiful, but here I show the ugly effect of human selfishness on our natural world. After reading about some of the animals most impacted by litter and landfill disposal, I chose to depict a turtle who sadly perished after being caught in deadly sea trash.
I know that is very sad, so let's look at a happy, peaceful turtle, the way they're supposed to live, free of human waste!
Let's respect the animals and nature in this wonderful world and fight for a better environment!
I used 99 parts in this creation:
-
That's beautiful! I love how you captured the textured softness and flow of the jellyfish!

Be careful not to step on a small Lego brick, or you'll be in some big pain! Small Toy, Big Agony, or, Stepping on a Lego Brick
-
Have you ever stepped on a Lego brick? Then you definitely understand how such a small object can cause such a large amount of pain.
This wasn't my first idea by a long shot. Actually, I had trouble thinking of anything, but I decided to build a small object with a large impact. And then I got my first chance to build a brick built foot! I want to try again without a parts limitation.
I used 98 pieces for this entry, as shown here:
Thank you for viewing! I hope you enjoy.

That's a winner for sure, Doug! Great work! I like the consistency in color in the image, even with the non-Lego items.

I built to entertain myself, so I hope you get a laugh as well! The Magic of MagiKlean
-
Am I the only one who thinks there must be something magical going on in those side-by-side paper towel commercials? Anyway, that's where my mind went for this contest and I thought it was a fun idea to represent with Lego! I introduce to you... MagiKlean paper towels!
These towels are 3 times more absorbent than leading ordinary brands, due to their woven layer of pixie dust, which has magical absorbent properties. It's so magical, it's practically cheating!
I hope you enjoy my fun twist on this category. Here are my pieces, all 101 of them:
Cheers!

That's gorgeous! Also I need a social group more similar to yours. Spontaneous afternoon building sessions sound delightful.

I agree with Rolli, this would be hot stuff in C4C. I love you went back to this theme! I'll make a simonochromatic build one day, I promise.

I've been wondering how to build an origami crane for a looooong while now. I love how clean yours is, and how it blends various types of LEGO elements! Using that tooth for the head is spot-on but I was particularly impressed by using the fabric piece for the wings! Well done
Best
Markus
You should try it! I think the most challenging part is the 4 triangular folds that all meet at the very bottom of the crane. Getting those to bend in just the right way was almost an exercise in futility, but eventually I was happy with it. Thank you!

Spot on sir, great creative build!
Thanks Doug. I like your take on the category too!
-
Lovely take on the category! I don't know too much about Origami but both builds look very much like how i remember the carefully crafted paper animals.
Great part choices for the crane!
I appreciate it, thank you Marcel!
-
it even looks like real origami at first glance!! Very nice!!
Thank you very much! It was lots of fun choosing parts that looked like folded paper. Getting them to connect was more difficult.

This creation flows so well. It makes the fire look like a fluid. And I love the use of parts with color gradients, like the larger flame pieces. Good job working with a limited parts palette! Very cool!
