I went with a sci-fi setting yet again, and loved getting to use the decorated Alpha Team canopies and a few constraction elements which I’ve had for quite some time now. The scene uses 101 parts.

Diesmal 100 Teile gebraucht.

With such a broad prompt it took me a while to decide how exactly to approach it. In the end I fell back on one of my favorite childhood themes, Power Miners. Which led to lots of fun, and even a simple function on the mining vehicle as when lowered the orange ‘drill’ rolls with the vehicle. 100 parts used this time.

I had a more difficult time coming up with an idea this week. Something to do with cyber security, viruses, malware etc. intrigued me. So in the end I went with this imaginative cyber scenario of a firewall under attack by vicious viruses. The scene uses 100 elements.

The idea of an industrial futuristic city built up into the clouds caught my imagination especially after finding some super cool concept art in a book I have. The challenge of course was executing something like that with just 101 parts. I didn't want to work in micro-scale this time, so ended up relying on lots of large elements to fill out the structures. And I did use all 101 elements.

What a pleasant surprise! I was hugely inspired by last year's challenge and it helped me get to a lot of projects that had been on
my to-build list for years
It was also terrific seeing so many other wonderful tributes to past themes. Congratulations everyone!

I had somehow missed this till voting in the annual challenge. Very glad to have found it eventually!
Your version feels like a piece of sci-fi concept art in the best possible way. Love the giant inside out balloon tires and how you kept the play features of the original. Definitely one of my favorite builds from the whole annual challenge -
Was busy traveling, and catching up with family over the holidays so didn't manage to respond here earlier.
Several more beautiful baubles to admire And so fun to see enough baubles for the calendar to run past Christmas!
What a treat to discover your Tallneck bauble, HawaiiToad
I love it! -
So many amazing baubles this last week
Vaionaut That angel design is beautiful. Such elegant shaping and perfect use of drum lacquered gold elements.
Legopard Astonishing level of detail for the size. Love the 1x1 round plate rims!
steentje It's always fun to see MOCs shrunk down to micro scale, and you did a great job capturing the Final Showdown

Built for the Return of the G.O.A.T. contest on classic-castle which paired nicely with the Annual Challenge here. I chose to re-imagine set 6078 and had fun putting my own twist on the recognizable structure. My rendition features ladders or stairs to reach every area of the gatehouse, along with a functional drawbridge. The two hidden spaces under ramps at front and back are also there, though I added some barred gates under the front ramp so minifigures have access to that storage area. The rear one contains a hidden nook where some unfortunate soul seems to have been on the wrong end of a magical scroll.
Special thanks to Rolli for loaning me the original minifigures!

Several beautiful new baubles these past days!
Love the theme mashup from banthabrick and the clever use of a wand for the tree's starSuper micro rendition of Steentje's mine from Rauy
And what an impressive Robo-Guardian Sylon created!
Great color blocking and details despite the limited space -
Excellent work Isaac_S Really nice that you also integrated the Mountain. Links House arrived two days ago and will of course get a place at our Christmas tree 🎄
Glad to hear it made its journey successfully!
And what a beautiful micro castle revealed today!

Always such a joy seeing a new build and poem each day in December
Very strong models to start us off this year!

Beautiful rendition of the Barracuda. Super distinct and well detailed even at the small scale.
I especially like your figurehead design and cannons. There were many, many sets I longed for growing up. Most I never got, as LEGO sets were usually reserved for birthdays and Christmas gifts, and only small sets even then. Lines like Adventurers, Dino Attack, Alpha Team, and Exo Force provided plenty of things to dream about

Impressive Exo-Force revamp! Great use of curved tiles to simulate the stickered patterns of the original and the rear turbine looks fantastic.
-
Lovely forestmen hideout! I like how the tree naturally grows out from the wall on one side of the structure, while a vine climbs up the other side.
Plenty of neat details to spot too! The mushrooms and cluster of pine trees with target are my favorites
