Welcome to RogueBricks!
The following guidelines form the foundation of our community-friendly interaction. They apply both online and offline to all our activities and platforms—in particular to our forum, our Discord server, our social media presence (e.g., comments on Instagram posts), as well as all in-person meetups and events. As our community is built on a personal structure,it is important to keep these points in mind when actively participating. By participating in the RogueBricks community, members agree to abide by these rules.
1. Structure and Responsibility
- Team Structure: Leadership Team → Moderators → Section Moderators
- Special Tasks: Community Ambassador, Public relations, Organization (e.g., contests, joint participation in events)
- General Responsibility of the Team: Team members are responsible for maintaining order in terms of structure and content (e.g., moving topics), ensuring compliance with our guidelines, and mediating in case of disagreements among members.
2. Tone and Quality of Interaction
We value respectful interaction to create a safe and welcoming environment for all LEGO fans.
- Golden Rule: A friendly tone is the foundation of our communication, whether in writing or in person. Naturally, this is shaped by personal opinions.
- Reasoned Opinions: Opinions should always be supported by reasons. In the digital space, this also ensures that posts are not empty "spam" (1–2 lines) and remain enjoyable for others to read.
- Form and Expression: We ensure appropriate form in both speech and writing (moderate use of emojis, proper spelling, and grammar). Double posts in the forum are to be avoided—please use the "Edit" function instead.
- Clarity: In the interest of clarity, we keep forum threads, Discord channels, and social media posts "clean." Even if a previous poster has deviated from the topic, any further discussion on that tangent should be continued either privately or in a more appropriate area. The team is happy to help if you are unsure where to post.
3. Content Restrictions and Protection of Minors
RogueBricks is a destination for fans of all ages. Therefore, we expect all of our content and discussions to be age-appropriate.
- Focus: We are a platform for the exchange of ideas regarding LEGO and related topics.
- Prohibited Content: Any posts or actions of a political, religious, or sexual nature—as well as generally harmful content for minors—have no place in our community and will be removed or prohibited without prior warning.
4. Intellectual Property and Legal Matters
- Plagiarism (Counterfeits): ogueBricks is a strictly LEGO-focused community where there is no place for plagiarism or knock-offs. Corresponding topics or models will not be tolerated and will be removed without warning.
- Handling of Leaks: Uploading, linking, or distributing images of leaked sets, figures, or parts (especially those marked “Confidential” or “Preliminary”) is prohibited for legal reasons. As long as an official embargo is in place, no links to corresponding external sites may be posted.
- Image Rights & Gallery: In our gallery, only albums related to LEGO or related topics are permitted. Please only upload images for which the required image rights can be provided.
5. Advertising, Spam, and Unrelated Content
- Respectful Environment: Harassment of any kind is prohibited.
- Advertising Ban: It is not permitted to advertise external websites or products to members, either publicly or privately, unless the member in question has explicitly requested this.
- Off-topic Content: Promoting products or content not related to LEGO or the interests of the community is generally not permitted.
6. Specific Guidelines
- Signatures (Forum): Your signature must stay within the following limits: Max. 6 lines of standard text OR one image (max. 200 pixels high) and 3 additional lines of standard text. Videos are not permitted. Signatures that are too long will be shortened by the team.
- Trading: For all trading activities, the separate "Classifieds Regulations" apply.
7. Conflict Management and Handling of Violations
In the event of problems or misconduct, a step-by-step process applies:
- Mentoring: Newcomers are initially looked after by the team and made aware of any misconduct.
- Conflict Resolution: In case of issues with other users, team members should be involved in the conversation. Provocative behavior or insults are not an appropriate reaction.
- Sanctions: In the case of repeated or more serious violations, a team member may issue warnings. Penalty points may be assigned for multiple warnings.
- Measures: In cases of serious violations, the Leadership Team reserves the right to call members into a personal meeting, temporarily revoke posting rights, or suspend/delete the account. We always strive to avoid these measures.
We reserve the right to update these guidelines and will provide timely notice of any changes.
By using our online platforms or participating in in-person meetups and events, these rules are accepted in their current version.
