Wild Gastly appeared!
Gastly used Confuse Ray!
Note: #38 and #48 are tubes that you get from disassembling old 2x4 brick/wheel assemblies.
Nice eye tech!
This is sick. Awesome to see those hexagon parts in use.

Can I have a bit more clarification on what counts as a part? For many parts it is obvious, such as pretty much anything listed as a part by Bricklink.
However, people in past rounds have used things such as packaging and gear (E.g. the container which Dan Ko used and the helmet Woomy World used in round 2). I love applications like this, but I am curious how broadly I can interpret parts. For example, would it be allowed to use the cardboard box from a set? The plastic or paper bags? The instruction manual? Stickers (uncut) are allowed, but could someone use the emptied sticker sheet or backing paper?
Are there any general guidelines that I should keep in mind beyond what is mentioned in the Standard Contest Rules?
I've always believed if the item came in something produced by Lego, then it's fair game - at least that's how I determine what makes it into my part collection
. Stickers, plushes, screws, metal rings, circuit boards, packaging, etc... are all fair game in my opinion.
Great minds think alike! ![]()

Hey Nathan! The problem is that you have registered after the start of the RogueOlympics and has been discussed earlier in German (sorry it hasn't been translated). The issue with votes from users that just recently joined RogueBricks would be that they might register only because they were asked to vote for a submission. This could impact the results significantly considering the small community we have. We would like to improve this regulation but also try to keep maintenance low, hence I'm afraid this will not change too soon. I'll certainly look into it, though. Sorry, Nathan!
No worries, thanks for the clarification!
I really had to lean into that for the 35-part build I did for my local LUG's monthly challenge recently! My proudest structural setups were using a minifig torso and leaf, each connecting 3-4 sections of the build that were originally linked by more complex bar and clip connections.
What are the Vidiyo bands being used for? I don't see them in the photos.
Yeah, our bread-and-butter bar and clip connections works against us in these part limit challenges
.
The Vidiyo bands are crammed into the tubes to give them a bit more length and mesh better to the Technic panels.
This is great. Cursed, but great. Aside from trimming down things that aren't facing the camera like you mention in the blog, do you feel you have to adapt your style/approach for these smaller builds? I've really enjoyed your entries so far.
A bit - a lot of my stuff usually relies on Technic internals, and those parts add up fast. I'll also usually use elements that allow me to connect things later on should I need it. Having to essentially optimize the frame to only have the connections I need and nothing else is a bit of a departure from what I normally do. That and not being able to use bushings to keep things spaced out ![]()
