RogueOlympics 2026 - Think. Build. Repeat.

I have been looking forward to the return of this contest! Last year I participated in a few rounds, but didn't find time to finish my entries for multiple other rounds. Hopefully I can do better this year!

-
I moved this very week last year, and what with little kids, a new house, new town, and demanding job, all of my entries came long after the Olympics has ended. I've been looking forward all year to actually taking part this time.

I've followed the Rogue Olympics in the past, but am looking forward to actually participating this yeer!

Is voting taking place the same way as last year? I haven't seen a post yet.

Sure! And just like last year, a sad little engineer has to work out the voting form each week

Hence, hang in there - the voting form will usually be available sometime Monday/Tuesday evening. Thanks for bearing with me!

Thank you for the answer and for all the effort you put in!

Is it possible to combine a digital and physical build? I would like to build most of my build physically but I do not have the parts to build the entirety? Can I stitch photos of each part together for the complete entry?

Hi Stan!
So Sorry for the late reply - might even be too late.
We allow digital creations, as long as you stick to part-color-combos that really exist. Hence, even combinations are fine! Be our guest! -

It's really late to ask this, but I have an idea for presentation that I really like, but I don't know if it is okay within the rules: For digital models, the general contest rules say, "Only rendered submissions are allowed," but presentation rules say, "It's at the participant's discretion how they want to photograph the model."
I assume the intent of the first rule is to avoid poorly presented digital models and uphold higher entry quality, but I believe that the best presentation for my entry for this round is an un-rendered "draft" in Bricklink Studio.
Is an un-rendered model okay as an active artistic choice?

Your guess is correct - we'd like to avoid entries with poor quality. In this case, I'd say go ahead!

Great variety in scale and style. The cute construction vehicles are my favorite.

What a joy to have made it to the end! I am extremely proud to have participated in every single round of the Rogue Olympics for the 4th consecutive year. This edition was another stimulating challenge, especially with my self-imposed rule of a strict 101 pieces for each of my MOCs. A huge well done to all the other builders for their sublime creations that made this competition so inspiring. It is an honor to build alongside you. I hope to be able to take on the challenge again next year.

It has been fun RogueOlympics again. This year I managed to participate in 5 rounds, at least more than last year. Not all masterpieces, but solid entries I'm fine with. There was actually no round where I immediately had a clear idea or even ordered parts. At best I had a rough outline and hacked something together on sunday. But I'm glad I did, since that is part of the RogueOlympics appeal and those where exactly the rounds where I couldn't bring myself to build something over the weekend last year. And since this was a time more dominated by creative paralysis, I'm ultimately rather satisfied with the outcome.
