I've had my ups and downs. My fair share of bumpy roads and heavy winds. That's what made me what I am today. Now I stand here before you. What you see is a body crafted to perfection. A pair of legs engineered to defy the laws of physics and a mindset to master the most epic of splits.
Mein Beitrag ist eine kleine Hommage an den mehrfach preisgekrönten Werbefilm "The Epic Split" aus dem Jahr 2013. In dem ulkig-epischen Film führt Jean-Claude Van Damme einen Seit-Spagat zwischen zwei rückwärts fahrenden LKWs auf. Beworben wurde damit das unterstützende Lenksystem "Volvo Dynamic Steering" des schwedischen Lastwagenherstellers Volvo Trucks.

Ich habe am längsten überlegt, wie ich die Trucks darstellen soll... Vor allem, nachdem ich feststellen musste, dass ich dafür nur noch maximal 5 Teile verwenden kann. Meine Überlegungen gingen dann zunächst in die Richtung, dass ich vielleicht kurz die Bobbycars meiner Kinder dafür ausleihe oder versuche, die Figur auf den Rückspiegeln zweier echter PKW auszubalancieren. Auf die Schachteln der 40586 bin ich dann eher zufällig gekommen: Ich wollte eigentlich nur die Balance der Figur austesten, und habe dazu willkürlich zwei identische Schachteln aus meinem Regal gezogen. Als ich die Figur dann darauf gesetzt hatte, fiel es mir plötzlich auf: Moment mal, das sind ja zwei Trucks!
Verwendet habe ich (inklusive der beiden Schachteln) 98 Teile:

My contribution is a small homage to the multi-award-winning advertising film "The Epic Split" from 2013. In the funny-epic film, Jean-Claude Van Damme performs a side split between two reversing trucks. The supporting steering system “Volvo Dynamic Steering” from the Swedish truck manufacturer Volvo Trucks was advertised.
I spent the longest time thinking about how I should represent the trucks... Especially after I realized that I can only use a maximum of 5 parts for them. My initial thoughts then went in the direction of perhaps borrowing my children's bobby cars for a moment or trying to balance the figure on the rear-view mirrors of two real cars. I came across the boxes for 40586 more or less by chance: I actually just wanted to test the balance of the figure, so I randomly pulled two identical boxes from my shelf. When I put the figure on it, it suddenly occurred to me: Wait a minute, those are two trucks!
I used 98 pieces (including the two boxes)
