Dear members,
you don't just step onto someone's doormat without saying 'Hi, there!' or 'Moin!' or 'AYYYEEEEE'. Which is why I would like to introduce myself: My name is Martin, pleasure meeting you all! I was born in Rostock, Germany, (I do speak German but wasn't sure how many people I would exclude on said doorstep when speaking German) and came here for the great contests I would soon like to be a part of! Great fan of the 90ies space themes here (Mega Core Magnetizer FTW).
Lego and me have been in a relationship for 30 years now (and this forum is proof that Lego did indeed cheat on me from day one...). There's been some breaks due to my engineering studies (I'm currently working on my PhD thesis in AR/VR stuff) and other interests but when my daughter was born in 2018, the love came back and hit me hard like the pain you feel when you step on a brick - just in a positive, engaging way. Only problem now is that I lack the time and space to build a lot which is why my builds are usually digital and scarce I'm trying hard to improve on that last bit at least!
Thanks to Rolli and Jonas for (unknowingly) guiding me here with their inspiring builds! I'm looking forward to stepping into the contests to my best ability (I can still join the current RogueOlympics, right?). In case you're interested in my very meek progress that started just 3 weeks ago, you're invited to check out my Flickr and Instagram profiles. There's going to be more content on there soon, I hope. Just need to find some time (if you have a time turner like Hermione or any means to help me split myself in two, please let me know).
Ich freue mich auf steinharten Austausch mit euch Brickheadz!
